The Fracture Programme was set up to support regional artists in the production of contemporary new screen dance/moving image installations. The 18 members of the project have been supported over a period of 18 months by three organisations: Coventry University, Arts and Media Training and the Arts Council England West Midlands.  The result is 7 new installation pieces, which will be exhibited in a FRACTURE season at venues around the region between 19 July and 11 November 2007.

Coventry Unversity has been instrumental in supporting the Fracture project, providing finance, resources and facilities over the programme. As the key funding partner and instigator of the project, Coventry University's Performing Arts under Professor Sarah Whatley and School of Art and Design at Coventry University under Professor Michael Tovey continue a long standing tradition of providing high-quality support for the region's artistic community.
